Space City Zoo is the UK's only cheerleading club for freelancers. It has been created for cheerleaders who either cannot make weekly commitments, or would like to learn new skills which cannot be met with their squads, for 'retired' cheerleaders so to speak because they cannot join a proper squad due to work commitments. Most importantly it is there to provide lots of fun cheerleading events, socials and camps which will hopefully bring the cheerleading community closer together.

The club aims to produce quality performances whilst keeping the commitment and training times, thanks to our 'new media' teaching approach. Please explore the website to find out more about the initiative, and do get in touch if you would like to become a member or book the team for an event.

Gigs & clients

Space City Zoo are only in their first year but have already picked up three trophies and added the following clients to their portfolio: Innocent Village Fete, Red Snapper Ltd (for the Internet World Exhibition), Channel 5, The Bobby Moore Sports Ball & Rick Parfitt Jnr , 'Move It' Dance exhibition 2008 and with JJ Stereo Productions for the Black Kids' music video "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance", and Google. This is the club you want to join if you want to expand your cheerleading experience repertoire and get the chance to get paid gigs by cheering.

Activities for non-member adults

Join us for our open weekend camps. To find out when the next one is please look at the events of this facebook group.

The club also organises a Cardio Cheer Class in London, the perfect fitness class designed for cheerleaders, and is open to everyone over 16. You will need to join this facebook group to attend.

Space City Zoo is also available for Cheerleading Hen Nights and Chilren Cheerleading Parties in London, Yorkshire, Berkshire and Brighton

Activities for children

SCZ will be organising Cheerleading camps for children ages 7-11 this summer, and starting a Space City Zoo Junior and Peewee squad from September 2009 in Richmond.

Space City Zoo star in Black Kids' Music Video

10 March 2008

Space City Zoo Cheerleaders have been headhunted by JJ Productions to star in the Black Kid's music video "I'm not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance with you". Filming at Faircharm studios in South East London, SCZ Cheerleaders proved that they can work just as well in front of the camera than on a stage or competition mat. The filming went very smoothly, thanks to a great communication and collaboration between the cheerleading team and the crew.

Space City Zoo represent cheerleading at Move It dance exhibition

Space City Zoo Cheerleaders have been asked to represent cheerleading at the "Move It" dance exhibition in London. This was an incredible experience for SCZ and a great honor to have been asked. At 10:30 on Saturday on the main stage we performed a smashing version of our event routine: with the most jaw-dropping stunts ever done by SCZ - driving the large crowd crazy!!

At 11:30 of the same day, Jessica (President and Head Coach / Choreographer) leaded the sold out cheerleading class of 260 people.

Space City Zoo to enter Heart of England

The Zoo is all set to enter the Future Cheer Heart of England competition this Febuary! The Zoo will take five members, Minaki Serinde, Jessica Rossi, Stef, Kim and Sophie to enter Senior All-Girl Stunt Group Level 5!

We have some awesome stunts lined up for you, so watch this space for some awesome Cheer stunting action from your favorite All Star squad!
