West End Live is a two day dance and performance extravaganza hosted by the Mayor of London and Westminster Council and featuring acts from all over the capital.
The London Rockets Cheerleaders were honoured to be asked by the Mayor’s office to perform at this amazing event. We aimed to showcase what competitive cheerleading is all about but at the same time - do what we do best - entertain the crowds!
West End Live is one of the most successful arts events in the capital, drawing thousands of people to Leicester Square every year to enjoy a representation of all forms of dance and performance from the West End. Acts included the cast of Dirty Dancing and the winners of Nike Dance Clash.
The squad spent the time before their performance on the famous balcony of the West End Odeon - entertaining the crowds even from there.

We are thrilled to have Amanda Stockley as our photographer this season and she caputured some really wonderful shots of the squad in action on the day.
The performance was so quick and so much fun that everyone wanted to do it again as soon as it was over.
As we hit the end pyramid there was a collective gasp - from the crowd who couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing and from us not quite believing it was over.

Thank you to everyone who got in touch to say they enjoyed the show - we will be offering ways to get involved with cheerleading and the squad over the summer so keep checking back for more information about our tryouts in July.
