The Space City Zoo and UNIty All Stars have just returned from an absolutely fantastic Spring Break camp with the ICC in Florida.

Both squads trained hard every morning at top US Cheerleading gyms in Orlando, 'relaxing' in the afternoon at their chosen excursions, Universal Studios and Rocks Springs. UNIty also competed at the NCA competition in Daytona.

Dispite the rain on the first day, members of the Zoo decided to hit Florida Mall and spend some cash! The mall is huge, the biggest in Florida, and just when you think you've covered it, you discover a whole new wing! That evening was spent by most relaxing in their private pool in the villa.

On Day 2, the girls headed to the Epic Cheer Cheerleading gym in Orlando for some intensive training by ICC staff. Thankfully the sun was out now and it was off to Universal Studios with a not so brief stop off at Planet Hollywood for a very large American style lunch.

The third day was similar, with some of the team learning new tumbleing skills to take home and practise. Then it was back to Universal Studios, this time hitting Islands of Adventure for some fast rides and thrills. Nobody expected this holiday to be relaxing did they?!

Rock Springs on Day 4, a very tired bunch of Cheerleaders arrived at the springs in the afternoon, and relaxed in the sun with cool drinks and a BBQ provided by ICC Staff. The afternoon was spent splashing around in the crystal clear water, either lesiurely floating around on inner tubes or doing what Cheerleaders do when they get together; throw some mad stunts, in the water!

The next day, the teams drove to Daytona Beach and checked in to the Desert Inn Hotel, an impressive structure right on the beach. Right down the road from where NCA College Nationals were being held, there were Cheerleaders everywhere, and loads to do.

Day 5 was the last day of training at Power Cheer in Daytona. By now, everyone was acheing like mad and couldn't wait to hit the beach, the pool or the impressive array of shops selling brightly coloured t-shirts! Most of the team watched the impressive American squads at College Nationals that afternoon, at the open-air Bandshell venue, right on the beach!

Day 6 was NCA All-Star Nationals day. UNIty All Stars competed in Open Co-Ed Level 6, the only team in the division, and the last squad to compete that day. They showed off some impressive stunts, prompting an excellent response from the crowd.

Finally, the last day of the camp - the Cheerleaders spent their time relaxing by the pool or having a lesiurly shop. Just the thing to top off an incredibly hectic holiday in the Sunshine State!
